Gumla




India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. Gumla is a town which is also headquarters of Gumla district of Jharkhand state, India.  In 2001, the population of the city was 39,790. Males constitute 52 percent of the population and females 48 percent. Gumla has an average literacy rate of 75 percent, higher than the national average of 59.5 percent: male literacy is 80 percent, and female literacy is 70 percent. In Gumla, 15 percent of the population is under 6 years of age.
 
Gumla district is one of the twenty-two districts of Jharkhand state, India and Gumla town is the administrative headquarters of this district. Gumla district has rich natural and mineral resources.
