India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. India is a union of twenty-eight states and seven federally-governed union territories. New Delhi is the capital of India.
 
Kothagudem is a small cosmopolitan industrial town in the Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh, about 270 kilometers from Hyderabad. It is also known as the coal town of South India, as it heads the Singareni Colleries Company Limited. The Kothagudem Thermal Power station, Nava Bharat Ferro Alloys, Sponge Iron India Limited are some of the other industries here. There is also a heavy water plant located nearby.

Kothagudem has a branch office of National Geophysical Research Institute and Geological Survey of India. It also has the only mining school in the state of Andhra Pradesh, KSM Kothagudem School of Mines. The area is endowed with rich forests, industries and landscape. The Railway station was originally named Bhadrachalam Road, being the closest railway station to Bhadrachalam, an important pilgrimage location of Rama. The Kinnerasani Dam is a popular picnic spot. It is also famous for its record high temperatures during summer, often crossing 50 Celsius mark.

It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
