India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. Rohtak occupies the central place in the Bangru speaking zone of the state of Haryana. The town lies 75 kilometers West of Delhi on the Ferozepur railway line. The district is having an area of 1668.47 square kilometers. The population of the district as per 1991 census is 776966 inhabitants. The density of population is 466 per square kilometers.
