India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. India is a union of twenty-eight states and seven federally-governed union territories. New Delhi is the capital of India.
 
Himatnagar is a city and a municipality in Sabarkantha district in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is the administrative headquarters of the district. Hathmati is the river of the city. The city was named after the King Himmat Sinh. There is also a school Himmat High School which was named after the King. Motipura, Mehtapura, Mahavirnagar, Pologround are major areas of the city. Navratri, Diwali, Ramzan and Uttrayan are the biggest festivals of city.
 
As of 2001 India census, a Himatnagar had a population of 58,267 inhabitants. The males constitute 52 percent of the population and females 48 percent. Himatnagar has an average literacy rate of 77 percent, higher than the national average of 59.5 percent, male literacy is 81 percent, and female literacy is 72 percent. In Himatnagar, 11 percent of the population is under 6 years of age.

Himatnagar experiences a boom with day tourists, owing to the clear air, town character with rich culture, high quality of life and conspicuously original history.
