India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. Cuddapah is now known as Kadapa. Kadapa is one of the beautiful cities in Andhra Pradesh. It is the headquarters of Kadapa District. It was spelt Cuddapah previously but the name was changed to Kadapa with effect from 19 August 2005 to reflect the actual Telugu pronunciation of the word. Location South-Central Part Of Andhra Pradesh Name Derived From: A Telugu Word Called Gadapa.
 
Kadapa is situated in the south-central part of the Andhra Pradesh State. Located 8 kilometers south of the Penna River, the city is surrounded on three sides by the Nallamalai and Palkonda hills. The name Kadapa is derived from the Telugu word Gadapa. The city is so named because it is the gateway from the north to the sacred hill-Pagoda of Shri Venkateshvara also spelt as Venkateswara of Tirupati. As of 2001 India India, Cuddapah had a population of 125,725.
