India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. Kota is a city in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan. Situated on the Chambal River, the city is the trade center for an area in which cotton, millet, wheat, coriander and oilseeds are grown and industries include cotton and oilseed milling, textile weaving, distilling, dairying, and the manufacture of metal handcrafts. The rail junction, a road hub, lies 4.8 kilometers to the north.
Kota is also famous for its distinctive style of painting. Kota is well known for its saris, stone products and a vibrant education sector. Kota stone is blue in colour and is used for floor and walls of both residensial and business building. It is a cheap alternative to marble.
