Ichihara




Japan is an island country in East Asia. Ichihara is a municipality located in Chiba, Japan. In 2003, the population of the city was   279,426 and an area of 368.20 square kilometers. The city was founded on May 1, 1963. Ichihara maintains a sister city relationship with Mobile, Alabama, United States. The coastal industrial complex, started in 1959, triggered the annexation of the city. In May 1963, the city of Ichihara was created though the merger of the towns of Ichihara, Goi, Sanwa, Shizu, and Anegasaki.

A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Ichihara is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
