Pushkar




India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. Pushkar is a town in the state of Rajasthan in India. It is situated 14 kilometers from Ajmer and is one of the sacred pilgrimage for Hindus and is often called Tirth Raj. It is an important tourist destination too. Pushkar is famous for Pushkar Lake and the 14th century temple to Brahma, the Hindu god of creation. This is the only temple of the god Brahma in the world. It is also famous for its annual Pushkar Camel Fair.

The famous temple of Jeenmata has been taken care by Parasara Brahmans for last 1000 years. Probably Pushkarana Brahamanas may also have originated here. Pushkar is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in India worth paying a visit while touring the country. This place leaves a pleasing and unforgettable memory and justifies the proud cultural tradition of India.
