India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. India is a union of twenty-eight states and seven federally-governed union territories. New Delhi is the capital of India.
Tenali  is a town in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh, India. It has a population of 149,839, located 16 miles south of Guntur City. Three canals of the Krishna river flow through Tenali making it a part of the rice bowl of Andhra Pradesh. Tenali is a major railway junction connecting Guntur, Vijayawada and Chennai routes.
Tenali is known for its rich cultural and literary legacy. It has produced many famous poets, actors and educationists. Because of its contribution to literature, theatrical art, films and education, it is called as Andhra Paris. Tenali has contributed a major share to stage drama industry. There are quite a few extra ordinary artists who later moved on to film industry like Kanchanamala, Kongara Jaggayya, Gummadi Venkateswara Rao, Jamuna, Edwin, Sarada and Krishna. AVS and Adapala Edukondalu are also from Tenali.
There are a good number of famous temples like Kanyaka Parameswari temple, Vaikunthapuram, Patha Shivalayam, Ramalingeswara Alayam, Patha Anjaneya swamy gudi, Chitti Anjaneya Swami gudi, Morrispet Shivalayam, Saibaba temple next to over bridge, Appala swamy temple. Festivals are celebrated throughout the year. Bhattiprolu, 28 kilometers away from Teneli, is well known for its Buddha stupa.
It is most well known as the hometown of Tenali Ramakrishna, the legendary court poet/wit in King Krishnadevaraya's court. Tenali is well known for its educational institutions and their standards. Its very green through out the year in and around Tenali. It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
